Come leggere questo schema

  • Overlay mosaic, cut-and-rejoin method: ONE color per row, alternating A/B, fasten off at the end of every row (ends become fringe or hide in an envelope border). Never turn — right side always faces you.
  • Setup: ch 8, then 2 plain sc setup rows (row −1 in A, row 0 in B), working into back loops. These anchor the first drop-down sts.
  • Design rows 1–7 derive from the chart: a cell in the row's color = sc in BLO; where the chart shows the OTHER color one row down, work a drop-down dc (X) into the front loop of the stitch 2 rows below, covering that stitch.
  • Finish: add 1 plain BLO sc closing row in Color B on top (the top chart row's contrast cells have no row above to cover them).
  • 25 drop-down dc total across 7 design rows; 7 sts per row throughout. Colors on the chart show the FINISHED fabric, not the working yarn of that row.

▮ — BLO sc in the row's working color

X — drop-down dc into the front loop 2 rows below (covers the stitch beneath)
