At CrochetPattern, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the crochet pattern generator and the free patterns library handle information.
What we collect when you generate patterns. For guest users, we store a device identifier and IP-based rate-limiting counters to enforce the daily free generation limit — this is how the free daily allowance works without an account. The prompts you type and the patterns you generate are stored only when you are signed in, so they can appear in your history; guest generations are not tied to any persistent profile.
Accounts and payments. If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication record with our database provider. If you subscribe or buy a credit pack, payment card data is handled entirely by our payment processor — full card numbers never touch our servers; we store only the subscription status and credit balance needed to operate your plan. how we handle information when you use our Service.

CrochetPattern operates on a zero-registration model. We do not require or collect:

- Email addresses (unless you contact us voluntarily)
- Payment information (our service is completely free)

Zero-Retention Policy: We maintain a strict zero-retention policy. Your text prompts and generated images are:
- NOT stored on our servers
- NOT logged or recorded
- NOT used to train our models
- NOT shared with third parties
- Processed in real-time and immediately discarded after delivery
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, we may collect certain technical information automatically:
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Service (anonymous analytics)
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type
- Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed (stored temporarily for security purposes)
This information is collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Our Privacy Commitment
Your privacy is fundamental to our Service. Our zero-retention policy means that your creative work stays yours and yours alone. We will never store, analyze, or share your prompts or generated images. This is our promise to you.
Children's privacy. The patterns library is designed for general audiences including families and classrooms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; account creation requires an email address, and we recommend accounts be created by parents or guardians. Guest generation requires no personal information at all — no name, no email, nothing that identifies a person or builds a profile over time.
Data retention. Guest rate-limiting counters age out on a rolling basis. Account data persists until you delete your account, at which point generation history and profile records are removed. Credit-pack purchases leave a payment record for tax and fraud purposes, as any purchase must.
Changes and contact. If this policy changes materially, we update this page. Questions about privacy, data export, or deletion: admin@crochetpattern.io — we answer within a few days, not weeks. Data requests are honored for any account, free or paid — your generation history is yours.
