Is the crochet pattern generator really free?
Yes — genuinely. Guests get several pattern generations per day with the standard engine, no account required, and the patterns are complete: full chart plus written instructions, not a watermarked preview. The free tier exists so you can test the output quality with your own hands before money is ever discussed. Subscriptions fund the free tier; that is the entire business model.
What do credits actually cost per pattern?
A premium generation costs three credits. On the Starter plan, 1,000 monthly credits work out to roughly 333 premium patterns a month — far more than most hobbyists hook in a month of Sundays. Credit packs price out similarly per credit, with the advantage of never expiring. If you generate two patterns a week, you may never need to pay anything at all.
Can I sell the items I make from generated patterns?
Yes, on every plan including free. Finished objects are entirely yours — market stalls, Etsy, commissions, whatever you make. The Ultimate plan adds an explicit commercial-use license covering the pattern documents themselves, which matters if you plan to publish or sell patterns rather than items. One thing that never changes: the physical item is always yours to sell.
What happens to my patterns if I cancel?
Your generation history stays in your dashboard even after a subscription ends — cancelling removes future unlimited generation, not your past work. Patterns already downloaded as PDFs are yours permanently. Downgrades are effective at the end of the billing period, so you never lose days you have already paid for.
Do I need an account to use the free tier?
No. Guest generation works immediately with a per-day allowance tracked by device. An account raises the daily cap and saves your generation history across devices, but it is not required to test or even to keep using the site lightly. Sign up when the history becomes valuable, not before.
Which payment methods work?
Stripe checkout at signup accepts international cards and the wallets your region expects. Credit packs additionally support local payment methods including Alipay for mainland China buyers. All prices are in US dollars; your bank handles conversion at checkout, and the charge description shows as the site name so statements stay readable.
